Heard on the radio this morning that the snowmobile trails in Eckville, Blackfalds, and County of Lancombe are closed this season due to low snow conditions and crops that remain left in fields.

I can not confirm this, or link to it, but I hope others that know more will chime in with better up todate info.

Blind Man River would remain open, but not the crop farm lands.

Only guessing as I haven't found the Web site on this.

Do you know which local club maintains the trails in this area?

Thanks all for the up-date as I wasn't sure where too search for this info.

Yes too heads up all since there are a few crops in our area still laying in the fields.

Eckville trails are a go, they moved old cabin further West,,, they built 2 new cabins...

1000 plus members in the club this year if this is correct...

They are fixing up a donated groomer this winter...

Club really took off since we're getting snow and lots of folks are staying local with cost of higher gas and hotels...

Good times for sure...

Ride safe all...

Make sure you support the club and their efforts by purchasing your ASA membership (trail pass) $80 for the year before Jan 1. Available online thru ASA website (https://albertasnowmobile.ca/) choose 'David Thompson Snow Riders' as the club and they will get the club portion of the pass!

I led a group from the David Thompson Snow Riders on the Caroline South Trail over the weekend. Some fun snow around Burnstick Lake if anyone is looking to get out.
it looked like you had a really good size group out on Sunday! Was great to see!
