I can't attest to their customer service, but just yesterday, I dropped my OtterBox protected iPhone onto concrete. A similar drop to the one that smashed my previous phone. Phone is ship shape.

Everyone knows that bareback just feels better, but I'm officially endorsing protection. ;)

My wife has the otter box and I have the ballistic and I like mine better than hers. I think it actually protects the phone better than the otter box

I have a box for my Ipod for the ATV stereo and had it fall off the ATV bag (Stupid me....... I forget it) onto the road doing 50 loaded in my pickup. Didnt know about it till I got home (oh chit!) Turned around and found it, seen somebody had ran it over but its still in working condition. A little road rash on the sides but otherwise just fine! Super tough and quality product.

Glad to hear about their quality on phones........Just broke my phone today lifting a hose reel for 2" sprayer hose and cracked the screen while it was in my pocket. Turned it in for insurance and also bought a box for the new one when it comes in thursday. Hope it works as good as my Ipod one and as good as everyone says. Although they do get big and bulky the insurance deductible is higher then the case!

Otterbox cases are really great and all that but I am not quite convinced by the bulk that it adds to my device. While safety is king with the newer gadgets, it would be great to still be able to use it on the level it is designed to.

Which means, give it that slim and compact line it is known for. But I guess that is just the price you have to pay when you protect something of bumps and bruises.

Most office people dont use these products as they arent in the elements of everyday life.

my buddy dropped his Iphone with the otterbox on the ground and ran over it with a 120 ton crane, when he realized it was gone he walked around and found it in a 4 inch rut pressed into the ground...not a mark on it and still working. pretty good testimonial

I think when people hear Otterbox, they immediately imagine the big, bulky, "Defender" series cases. Have you seen the Otterbox Commuter series? I use one, and it's protected me from several drops, but isn't nearly as bulky as the Defenders are.

I have had the Otterbox defender and commuter series. I ended up always taking them off because of the bulk and that they don't slide out of your pocket as well. I work outside a lot and they would still let dust and dirt in which does damage to the phone. Also I usually wreck my phones with water damage such as pressure washer, washing machine, lol.

I have now started using the "Lifeproof" case for my Iphone. It is very slim, grippy but still slides out of your pocket nicely, and most importantly dirt, dust, water and shock proof. They rate them for 2 metre drops and 2 metres depth for waterproof.

I was down in Mexico this winter and it was great on the beach not worrying about sand and actually swam and jet skiied with my phone in my shorts pocket.

They also offer a bar mount that clips on the case which is great because I use my iphone as my gps now!

I'm liking the idea of the life proof case. Always hated big bulky cases, reminds me of the old Motorola microtac 650 flip phones. Big and bulky.
