I have a 3G and have had it for close to a year now, it get's updated monthly off of my laptop. I have never had an issue with ANY upgrades.
Every 3-4 days I have to shut it off and reboot it for about 2 mins, but then good to go. I have also never own a case or belt clip for it.

I don't know what the deal with it was, I installed fresh Itunes each time and it was on different computers, every time kicked into safe mode. That's not bad, I have to reboot my 4G atleast 3-10 times a day, mostly to get reception (or try to). Today it froze on me for a good 5 minutes, wouldn't do a dahm thing.....The 3G is a tough phone, mine was missing the top button, and the two parts were splitting before it finally quit dropped it probably 100 times. A few times 10 feet onto concrete. Just if you drop it the wrong way, it will crack the screen.

The thing that pisses me off about iphones the most is you have to hold them in a special way for better reception, so annoying. If I hold mine a certain way 90% chance it will drop a call. You'd think instead of putting all these features they'd make a phone that you can make calls on decently the 4G is no better phone then the 3G i'd probably say it's worse because of how fragile it is......I didn't even know what a dropped call was until I bought an iphone.

Who is your provider? I was with Rogers and they are the worst provider ever. Switched to bell and rarely ever have a dropped call, and always have signal. Rogers rarely has full service in edmonton.

Rogers, I know part of it is the problem, but part of it is the phone. I can be on a call fine, hold the phone near the bottom on both sides, call is gone. Apple blames rogers, rogers blame apple and get nowhere. I'm at the point of telling them both fix it or you can take the phone and contract back and i'll go elsewhere it's so dahm annoying.

Ya that's what I am figuring for sure. Only 6 months into 3 year contract. Not sure how easy it will be getting out of it.....But I am sick of them and not going to pay $400 or whatever to move. But apple is still somewhat to blame, as not all the issues are network.

yes rogers is fn $HIT! I've had my iPhone4 since it first came out, over a year and a half with no issues. Dropped it numerous times with a slim otter box on it and stayed solid till last week when it came outta my hoody from the top of my buds sled deck, so a good 7-8ft, of course it landed dead on the corner and shot a crack diagonally right thru the screen,,,still works like new tho,,,luv the thing, even tether my internet thru it.

YEP Roger that!!

Rogers is a $hit provider. Go to B.C. and see how they are nowhere. I'm with Bell now. They piggyback Telus towers, and I get prety good reception.

I have an iphone 4, and it's been solid. I have a Defender case and it has my phone looking like new, and I am in construction..
