iphone jailbreak help?

So yesterday my Iphone 3g crapped out. Phoned telus they said to phone Apple. Phoned Apple they said to either bring it into the store (which happens to be 5 hours away, or pay for tech support) But when i explained what was going on, she figured the phone was toast... Yay me.

So SIL was nice enough to give me her old Iphone 3gs.. Wohoo! But.. its on the bell network. It also means that it has to be either jailbroken/unlocked before I can put my Telus Simm card in.

I tried to do it last night and got so frustrated both paper weights almost ended up in the snow bank on the front lawn

Anyone have a sweet clue what to do? lol

HELP PLEASE!

it depends on the version that the phone has been updated tooo... other wise it is quite simple.... utube has a lot of vids that will help you out.....

i think thats where i screwed it...lol i updated the phone last night to version 4.3...from what ive tried reading, it can't be unlocked? then you can downgrade the firmware?? lol

not sure how you downgrade firmware but that is what you need too doooo

Im thinking your gonna be Locked in at 4.3 Till they release a Jailbreak.

Also you have to goto Settings>General>About- Scroll down to Modem FirmWare. If you have 05.14.02 as your Baseband it will be a pain in the ass,But can be done.

As for your 4.3 Update, you will not be able to downgrade unless you have your SHSH Blobs Saved, Which means you would have had to have had the phone previously Jailbroken and Told Cydia to MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER.

My guess is you are gonna be chit outta luck for a good Month+

off to walmart to buy a crappy one until i can get to an apple store with my POS

Too early to tell if you'll be able to unlock it. Give it another 2 weeks. I'll try to remember to update this with an answer.

i use this website... Redmond Pie very usefull for unlocks and well pretty much anything for the iphone
