OK so the other day I went out and got myself an iPhone. What is your fav app.? Any cool apps? What apps are worth spending money on and what ones to stay away from?

One for and one against the angry birds. Hmmm do they cancel each other?
Anyone use any business apps? I've used sales calculator for figuring margins and profits worked very well. And also a metric conversion program works great too.

I find yellow pages is very handy. It will look up by exact search or by nearest to where you are by category. Pretty good. Photo shop express will be pretty fun. Skype is awesome. Just make sure you have a good data plan and watch your usage.

Plants vs zombies is addicting as well.

Cut the rope is a good one.

Void is certainly a challenge as well.

Crazy machine is one of my personal favorites, along with angry birds (Damn birds.)

For all you lucky folk absolutely. For us hicks in the sticks, all we can get is a sucky aircard, which gives you service sometimes, at best. We live so far out of town we are almost lost, lol.

"dashboard" is a cool app. It shows your current speed and altitude. Its surprisingly responsive while on the 3g network. kinda neat. works about 95% of the time

This might sound super lame, but I'll admit I downloaded some recipes apps. They are pretty good when we are trying to think of what to make for supper.

For sledding you can download the Avalanche Bulletins App - nice to have handy.
Lockbox is a good one for keeping passwords and numbers.
Zombie Duck is good. I can only play the easy level.
Flashlight app is great when you forget a real flashlight. Like when you're bike camping.
Appbox Pro has a lot of cool little apps in one (incl. flashlight)
Remote - if your using a mac and have your itunes library connected to a sound system. Displays your library and lets you play what you want. (free)
Airmouse - not useful unless you have a mac and want to drive your wife nuts while shes tries to click and you control the mouse from across the room. I use it only for that purpose.

OK so I've downloaded Angry Birds, Cribbage, Scrabble, Dragons Lair, Need For Speed, Flixter, Yellow Pages, Paper Toss, Boxed In, Bejeweled, I say free. I just need 40 hours a day to work my way through all these apps!

Is this one a drain on the battery? I've heard that GPS aps are hard on the batteries.

Thanks everybody, keep the app suggestions coming. I am sure I am not the only one that likes to find out about cool apps!:beer::beer:

I seen a cool app just the other day. I do not have it and I don`t know the name but it turns your Iphone into an over the net walkie talkie. Much like the old mike phones are but it transmits and receives talking between 2 people over the net. It is possible to talk with someone on the other side of the world.
