Problems with IPone 3GS

Hopefully someone has some ideas, altho im sure ive already tried it all. This just started on sunday, my battery life is horrendous now, wasnt good before but now its worse, also i keep getting the message This accessory is not optimized for this iphone....even tho there is nothing plugged into it. Also i get no notification of a txt message, i go in to change the sound but get no sound out of any of them. Ive done a hard re-boot and a full restore and still has yet to fix the problem

Disregard this post, i just figured out the problem...Looks like there was something stuck down in the pins where u plug in your cable..Got it all cleared out and now its working again..So if a MOD wants they can delete this thread

well i have a problem with my so i am hijacking your thread lol

so mine is 3g2 with telus but the problem is not that it will turn on and stay stuck on the apple screen, if i hold both buttons down it will shut off i have done this maybe 10 times today and will will not turn back on anyone got some ideas?

try plugging it in to the charger and see if the battery picture comes up. if it does give it a full charge to 100% and try turning it on. my iphone 4 did that to me and thats all i did then it started working normal again. just an idea.

I washed my I phone 4
Got a new one works great

Try washing,low speed spin warm water in tide,,,too cold out tide

lol im sorry but it get's better i now have a creepy little guy on my phone...i hold down the sleep button and the home button...the phone goes off, then comes back on all on its own then if I keep holding the buttons down... like magic Larry shows up! what the heck? does anyone know what this is? well i found out that Larry is talking in Bulgarian and it translates in English to PREED...what the heck?

That is what Telus thinks so i have to send it back to apple and see if it is fixable but it is more then likely because it was jail broke...sucks but we have scary Larry! So i will send it away and see what they say in the mean time i just got a new one!

Are you able to do a recovery from iTunes ?

Follow these steps.

If you are getting error (1) or error (6) while downgrading the firmware, you need to put your iPhone in DFU mode before you can restore or downgrade the firmware.

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode.

supper seems to be working we will see. do you by chance know how to lock the apps on the I4 every time i add a new one they move back...sucks! even if i move them in itunes they still move back...thanks for the help!

Do not UPDATE to 4.3 Yet.
Try to restore to 4.2 or older.

Goto the following website to get the jailbreak program.

You will have to turn off your passcode lock if you have one or it will not work.

As for the locking apps in position i have no clue. Is it jailbroken, maybe a problem with it.

Id maybe restore and start over, i reccomend only using GreenPois0n to jailbreak.

Is your test retarded long? Also did your service provider cancel your services? Even if your account is deactivated it will show full service if your in the area.

In order to not start a new thread, I'll do it here.

I've noticed my 3GS has been losing signal, a few times a day. it causes me to have to turn off and on in order to regain service. Is there any reason for this to happen? Chatting with a buddy, he suspects they write this into the code to get us to buy new phones, but mine works fine otherwise. Any ideas?

I have a buddy that had the same problem. Apple wouldn't fix it, so he bought a new phone. It's a money grab.
