I did hunt for previous threads on this topic and couldnt find any, but if they is one, I apologize.

I am about to upgrade to an iPhone. The problem is, not sure which to go with. I want to go with whats new but have HEARD all the BAD issues with the 4G. Im sure when the 3GS came out, it had issues as well. I have read and read, just concerned. Dont want to shell out 3 bills on a phone and hate it. I had that when I bought my blackberry pearl, wasnt a happy camper.

So if anyone can shed some light on this for me, I sure would appreciate it. If you have the iPhone 4, let me know if you are having problems, what are they, if you love it or hate it.

THANKS IN ADVANCE....... :d

I have the iPhone 4 and I love it, I've had no operational problems with it just a few getting to know it issues. I've been running BBs for years and except for e-mail this thing has the BBs whipped soundly. I can do so much more with it like effortless connection to wifi, tethering it to my computer so I can surf the net anywhere effortlessly so I got to get rid of the air card which saves cash. It has better games, a way better screen and an amazing HD camera plus the apps are amazing and actually usefull. The only issue I've had with it that I wish I could fix is that the mute button keeps hitting my cheek while I'm talking and the person I'm talking to thinks the call was dropped cause they can't hear me, I wish I could get rid of that mute button. I would recommend just getting the iPhone 4 rather than the 3, the only 3s you can get now only have 8g of storage and you can get 32 in the 4.

The 3GS is an awesome phone...never had any issues with it ... it easily accepted the new OS and became a "new phone" ... now that being said it really makes no sense to go with it when th 4 is out and is packed with features the 3 will never have. Like stated above...my bud has one and has had no issues what so ever. The company I work for is currently awaiting a "large shipment" of them as the first round was snapped up in less then a day.

I was in Southgate Mall and asked a gent in a long long line the other day what he was in line for in front of the Apple Store...iPad?...nope...iPhone4, they are also on a rations basis.

Demand out weighs supply at the moment. Like all new "got to have" stuff that will soon subside.

3 Bills?? Where do you shop!!! LOL

My hubby just bought an Telus iPhone 4, it cost him 800 bucks .... The problem is that I am now insanely jealous and want one too, so it might cost him 1,600 when all is said and done! I have the iPhone 3G, and have had it since the week they dropped in Canada, while I do love it - the iPhone 4 kicks it's azz up and down. If I were to buy, I would go with the 4 because it is the newest technology and less likely to become obsolete as compared to the older 3GS.

*NOTE: Mare you are in a rural area, you might want to look into where the Telus 3G towers are located. Kevin used to be able to call me from Foster Creek (1.5 hours out of Bonnyville) and it was not long distance, BUT now if he calls me on his iPhone it is long distance. This is because of where the towers are placed, he is calling from Foster Creek, but they told him that he was bouncing off a 3G tower in Lac La Biche, and that's why it's long distance.
- Also, Telus iPhones don't work in Sask, as of now they don't . If you are looking to travel there a lot, bring a non-3G back up.

Hope that helps!

Yes. I know... I just about chit. The people in town told him there was NO discount for extending your contract. I said that was a fawkin rip - he reminded me that I paid 500 for mine, with an extended contract =(

Nice to know about 3G in Sask, my cousin went through with her husband this summer, both have Telus iPhone, neither worked! Mine works but I'm with Rogers.

the iphone 4 doesnt support 4g just so you know... thats for the iphone 5 which i heard is coming out in july 2011. which i might get and i hate apple products. if you want a phone now id say go with the one of the top end droid phones they are usually cheaper and have more stuff packed into them, faster processors and some of them have 8mp cameras and shoot video in hd

LOL, I can get it for $270 if I re sign a 3 yr contract... But with rumor of iPhone 5 coming now, Im really un-decided.

Wish I could just find a cheap 32GB 3GS right now, and I would wait another yr.

They will never penetrate the mainstream market especially now that the Android based units are taking off like crazy. Apple is working on the business side of their shop and so is Google to compete in the Enterprise space...final nail in the BB coffin? I'm thinking so:rolleyes:

My son just got an android cell, the INQ, he loves it over the regular cells. It does everything the iPhone does and 1/4 the price. :d
