i have been thinking about getting my parents a cell booster for there cottage but I don't know anyone with one and curious which ones are best or any other experience you guys have had?
I bought a Wilson last year and not very happy with it TBH. The one I have is called "Sleek 4G-C". Paid US$200 for it.
Dual frequencies?
1st of all, find out what frequency your cell provider works with and ensure the booster you buy picks up the frequency your provider supports.....VERY IMPORTANT...talk/text/data (4G) could be probably are on different frequencies.....do you want to boost all of them or just the talk frequency?.....know what you want before you buy.
Many booster are dual band meaning it could be hit & miss for what you want. Some of the newer booster support 5 band....I believe the 5-band covers all the Canadian/US cell phone providers
2nd....if you are going to use an outside antenna, be sure it is also matches the frequency you need.
