They are tuned for smoothness & torque well working ... but if it's a real stickler .. it's not hard to make a canam go faster....

The suspension would be your limiting factor though , I would guess .Sure built tough though ... love that transaxle ....now that's over built !

Come on long wknd!! I've had mine out a few times but no real bigtime tours with all the snow that's in the hills. Next wknd will be the true test heading up to camp.

Need to find a flip down windshield this week though.

Warranty Bulletin #2017-0007: Tires Replacement to Meet Requirements of ANSI/ROHVA 1-

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know there is a new Warranty Bulletin (#2017-7) out for 2017 Defender HD8 ( Models #8DHA and #8DHC) and HD10 ( Models #8AHA and #8AHB). Certain Defender vehicles might be equipped with tires that do not meet the requirements of ANSI/ROHVA 1-2014. Please contact your dealer to see if your Defender is affected by the bulletin.

One pretty honest seeming salesman down in the states (so he knew I couldnt buy off of him) said that you really cant feel that much of a difference between the hd8 and hd10. So I was planning on getting an hd8 but couldnt find one. Very happy with my unit, but definitely a bit disappointed in the power. On paper it has around twice the horsepower of my ranger 800 but feels pretty much the same.

HD8 shows 50HP, isn't that the same HP as the rzr 800 and 570?

Yeah now that I look around a little more it looks like the ranger 800 has 50hp, the HD8 has 50hp as well, and the HD10 has 72. So not as big of a difference on paper as I had thought.

Still super happy with our new defender. Use it every day and it has been amazing.

Well no changes for 2018 on these bikes, not even any different colors. No need to change perfection I guess!

Somehow I doubt your lawnmower would tow my 3500 lb dump trailer uphill through 8 inches of wet slushy snow without missing a Beat....my defender had no problem....just saying
