I'm thinking of getting the defender dps hd8. Nobody has much good to say about the ranger quality these days.
How comfortable is the seat in these things? Little leery about a non bucket seat but can probably live with it.

I know of 4 900 rangers and everyone has had good luck. Mine the only real problems have been my fault.

Nothing does does what a Polaris ranger does as good as it does. It's a tough act to follow, like the brand or not they are pretty bullet proof....

Yah I really like mine! The worst thing I had to do were wheel bearings at 2200km and bottom ball joints. The rest was my fault. I even have stock axle with a lift and 28" tires. And it's a front axle.

I hope so! Seems like a really well built machine with tons of storage and cab room. Beats the ranger ride big time!

Not sure ? My trapping buddy's teasing me about Can Am .
Tracks are hard on things.
Guy at work with Kawasaki SxS lost back axle, spindle, wheel bearing and a arms. Big mess . The tracks do work good though in the snow just costly on repairs.

Ha... Well it looks way more refined inside than the ranger. I wonder if yoi have to rip the thing apart to seal the cab.

I would bet money there is. They been out for awhile now. And seen a few places even make high clearance arms.

i have had mediocre results. the boys out working in ft mcmurray where not happy at all after dropping $120,000 plus on 4 commanders, from stojans.

Well I took out the old defender for it's first small ride in about 2 feet of snow the other day!
The clutching is incredible!! It just chugs along and couldn't be stopped even with junk stock tires. The only thing missing is a locker for the front end!

It don't lock? Or does it need to spin a bit before it locks fully?

The defenders have the old nonQE diff... in other words lots of turns before they engage.
