I'm finally thinking of picking up an outty and want to run 30x11x14 Zillas on all 4 corners. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make this happen? Can it be done without any lift? (acutally, I'd run 12 wide if they were available)

Well, poop. I was hoping someone had a magic formula for me to shoehorn those tires on. Guess I'll just have to go with 28's.

Or buy a1000 xp hehehe

Believe it or not, I approached this with an open mind and was actaully considering a Scrambler or Sportsman. Crazieness, I know! In the end, I was captivated by the specs on the 2016 outty and committed myself to going that way. The unfortunate thing is that the 2016's haven't shipped yet. Since I lack any kind of patience, I pulled the trigger on a 2015 with 7 less hp. Either way, I'm optimistic I'll like riding this machine even if I couldn't squeeze 30's on - really gonna miss the clearance I had on my grizz. Who knows, 2017 may show some promise and I'll be able to go back to the grizz and still hold my head high in company of Poo-Poo and Canned-Ham owners.

I would think that a 1000 would turn 30" zillas with ease. If you wanted maybe a bit stiffer spring in the primary.

For sure, it will turn 30" silverbacks with ease. The problem is that they don't seem to fit unless I go with skinnies.

I would ride them both first... Popo handles so much better....
He's not a old guy, who cares about the ride if u don't have to walk back

Po po, very good chance of walking back

Can ham, way way less chance

Thats funny I'm going the other way lol. Got rid of my 2013 800 xtp so I can get a 2014 grizz. Was sick of getting towed home by yammy and Honda riders. It was by far the biggest pos I've ever owned.

Hope you have better luck!!

Lol, you guys are terrible! I haven't even picked it up yet and am already starting to have buyer's remorse. The grizz is still near to my heart and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the 2017's.

I'm hearing good things about Sportsman handling but the XTP does come with FOX Podiums, so I'm hoping that will close the gap a little. I'm also planning to get the QSC/STM clutching. So, other than price, I'm betting these are very comparable machines. After eliminating heat issues with a rad relocate, I'm also betting that the G2 is mature enough now that reliability (with good preventive maintenance) won't be a big issue unless I get a lemon. While Polaris is slowly gaining my trust, I've seen some pretty nasty (damned near unresolvable) issues with Polaris and am still a little wary.

P.S. I'm still keeping a Grizzly on-hand.

my opinion and only that!

rent one for a day or two, try it out were you like to ride, then decide!!! bêtter to spend $400, and find out you don't like it than $20,000.
