Hi, new to the board, have a question for anyone out there who has tested or uses the BRP (Can Am) Fox shock lit for the 2012 Outlander 800/1000, PN 715001471 (in Canada).
I find the bike mushy in the corners and dips a lot on braking which is what I would like to correct. I am running the stock tires and don't intend to go larger, height is not an issue for me in most cases. Mostly trail and mountain riding, not intense aggressive but more than the stock bile can seem to handle.
I don't ride that many miles, some trips are 80-100 miles but most are less.
I would like to avoid the costly Elka if possible.

Has anyone used this kit and how does it perform in your opinions?

Thanks for your insights!

In have the fox shocks from brp. The work very good but I would prefer rebound adjustments ect. That said I am a very aggesive rider and 99% of sport quads cant catch me on a 4x4. for most people they would be a great upgrade.

You can also add four .75" spring spacers that will help the handling huge and cost you around $120.00 OTD... The FOX shocks are nice, but the spacers will improve the ride quite a bit. They will stiffen the ride, improve the stance, remove nose dive when braking and cost less $$$....

I agree with this, I have them too but I just upgraded to Elka 4's. We ride pretty hard too and I'm a pretty big guy. They were an improvement over stock but I'm hoping for a significant improvement with the Elkas. Where in Alberta are you? mine may be up for sale soon if my buddy doesn't buy them.

The Fox Podiums that came on my XTP are wicked! I've been pining for a set of Fox Podiums for years but didn't want to drop $3000 on them. ...in retrospect, I shoulda spend the money.
