Hey guys, my canam outlander 650 has had a Hmf slip on and optimizer for a year now. Never played with the settings, but noticed this weekend the machines fan comes on quite a bit. I know these like to run warm but I'm curious if tuning the optimizer might help the cause. Any insight or opinions on this?

thanks everyone!

Same setup on my 800. Fan comes on often as well. I doubt the optimizer will make a difference but you could check the plugs. That will tell you for sure. Also as usual make sure your rad is actually clean. If the rad hasn't be relocated do it.

Had a bit too f a very eating trouble last fall, cleaned the rad properly and relocated. Now I hear the fan coming on maybe that's why I'm second guessing it haha. Done all the checks, coolant is bled and topped off, rads clean, not sure where to go next or if this is normal, it's my first quad I don't have anything else to compare it to.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to overheat. The light will come on if it does. You might be noticing the fan more because it is more noticeable now.

I'll leave the settings as it is and see how it does for another couple trips, seems like nothing to worry about then. Thanks for your help!
