...not "officially" mind you. Since the SnoWest debacle... there has really been no activity on ANY of the forums from the Nevada/California boys. So, I try to keep anyone whos interested on the happenings "on our mountains" up to date or field any questions...

If I were to come down for a few days riding with you boys how far away from gambling, free drinks and legalized prostitution would I be? Just a hypothetical question......haha

Hey "D"... 'ol Powdercrew could provide the "guide service" for that trip! haha... Elko, NV has it all with some EPIC rideing in the 10,000-11,000 foot Ruby Mountains 20 min from town. Probably wouldnt rate the "service" as "classy" as Reno though. But if your looking for "the ride" with some after hours entertainment, elkos the place! Reno could put ya' on the snow in less than an hour from your motel room... but of course, you'll probably spend more in the city than you would on the sledding.

(hypthetically speaking of course)........

Well... whats happening: Work is being done on the 2012 season video. There is some early discussions to do an Elko Film Premiere with Dan Gardiner and the crew from BOONDOCKERS this season as some of our footage was used in their film. The film outta' Elko (Highcountry Octane Productions) would rate just below the big name boys. Its based more on real, everyday riders pushing hard with normal everyday equipment. Thats the short version. Plans are being made for the upcoming season... this week were hikeing to the top of TERMINAL CANCER to scout a way out on sled. Have an eye on some new lines in there and we wont be using a helo. Gonna be bringing the sled BACK DOWN the Cancer chute... and possibly ride down the backside! (we'll know more when we put eyes on the top this week!) Also... have been scouting for a climb up the face of Nevadas 2nd TALLEST peak at 13,000+ ele. The actual pull would begin roughly 5,000' above the valley floor and the actual "on the throttle" climb is in the 4,000' estimate! Scouting LOTS of other ares this summer... heres to hopeing the winter recovers!

Last year it was conquered by the Impulse turbo crew out of Utah, the sleds had to be lifted off the top. We're looking to be the FIRST naturally aspirated sleds up it and the FIRST ones to RIDE BACK DOWN!

It was looked at and talked about for more than 10 years. IMPULSE Turbos out of Utah put 3 sleds on the top last season... the rest of the year was discussion whether is was actually "steep" or not. Im not looking to start that arguement again, it was pretty bad*ss that it was finally conquered though. Its just fun to have an "iconic" chute in your backyard....
