I find my jet boat is way cheaper than my sledding. Both my wife and I sledded and rode mountains 95% of the time. So a weekend of sledding was expensive, and we went every weekend. Now we boat it’s much cheaper. We don’t need to go to the mountains and can boat 10min from our house. Plus in five years my boat is pretty much worth what I paid for it, not like sleds where you loose 50% of the value after a year.

I will say this. Because I also love sledding. I have found that financially my boat has been better for the family. The kids love it and so does the wife. Sledding is not cheap.

I find it way less stressful than sledding to. Sledding with the wife was stressful to me. Worrying about her getting lost or stuck or avys and stuff. Now I just worry about if we are going to be able to push it off the rocks lol

I think I made out pretty good this summer. The wapati is my home river and it was nasty all summer. Chocolate milk. I have between 70-75hrs on the boat this summer. 1 impeller, 1 sandbar 2 gravel bars and a little gas. The upside to the 305 is it’s pretty good on fuel. Going in for camper top next week. Away with the bimini.

My wife much prefers boating or her bike on a Yeti 129 track, to a full sized sled, the bike easier to throw around. I was going to get a new Alpha Hardcore 165, but decided against it because she doesn't want to sled anymore. My KTM 450 with Yeti is plenty of fun.
