I see, thanks. I would think there would be very little difference unless at WOT and high RPM's, which isn't that common on a family boat. I reused the 350 marine power manifolds on my stroker and could definitely tell I had alot more power. I would assume that marine power only has 1 small block chevy exhaust manifold so your 305 would be the same as the 350's.

More food for thought would be that if the marine power manifolds flow good enough for a 350 running any higher RPM your stroker still won't move that much air at low RPM.

What they told me was that if I was going to just a 350 I could get away with it. But the 305 to 383 would be hindering. It would still work but I just would not be getting all power and torque that’s available. Very much a family/fishing boat. Staying in the 3500 range most of the time to be completely honest. Some of it was also, do I want to put lipstick on a pig?

I also asked Loius about 400 sbc. Turns out he has a 406 in his boat and loves it. Obviously he has that baby dialed in but was in agreement with the statement about being able to pull that engine out and drop my 305 back in if needed. I am taking this into consideration to because like you said and I have found, there not worth much when it comes to selling.

Hey guys. Had something interesting happen to me today. I backed in to hook up to my boat. Locked the hitch on and plugged my lights in. Walked back to remove my trailer chalks and noticed that a cable was smoking on my kicker. It was the kind of smoke that scared a guy. I have attached a picture. I remembered that my boat battery disconnect was on so I jumped up and turned it off as well as unplugging my trailer lights. No idea what happened. Never had any electrical problems with this set up. I checked all my fuses in boat and on truck. All were good. I bumped both my main and kicker. All good there. It did not happen until I plugged in the lights to my truck. It was raining so the entire boat/trailer package was wet. Very weird. IMG_2275.JPG

I think I I have found the problem. I had some back voltage coming thru my battery disconnect. Instead of running positive and negative terminals bars I have my switch loaded up. I’m going to clean that up this week.

Yes sir. What you guys think I can expect for fuel economy. Not that care at all honestly but I’m not really sure what to expect. Should be lower rpm to maintain step but it is a bigger engine.

I went from a marine power 310hp to a ZZ5 with a couple minor mods in my 20Ft Nahanni if anything my consumption went down a touch specially when hauling weight (34-3600rpm) but normal day on the H20 couple people light gear still right in the 7-8gallons per hour.

Probably be the same as you old motor while cruising. Won’t be working as hard with the extra power.

A2 in there right now. I was getting all I could out of that 305. So I’m really interested in what this 350 does.

Big impeller will just kill a 350 .
Better to let it breath a bit and fuel economy will be better .
No vacuum and more fuel .
A aggressor impeller from my findings worked the best .
So possibly a AA in others .

Haha
I think I might have another used American Turbine but sold all my new Aggressors back to JC when we went Hamilton.
I have a double oil filter housing and possibly some other things you might be interested in for cheap .

I was thinking about remoting my oil filter actually. Put it in a more convenient spot b
