Power nozzle is waste of money anyway . IMO
Not sure what the insert is going to do either?
Few guys have tried the Scott on Hamilton and doesn’t work the same as it does on the Scott.
Why do you think that you require it on the power you will be running ?
Your old boat with impeller tight worked very well .
Would spin out a bit until it was tightened up but not bad.

With the old 6.2 / hammy setup in a hammerhead with a 3.4 worked really, but since the 6.2 DI came out it would easily spin out the 3.4. So then we stuck in a 4.0 and it held no prob but pulled the RPM to low, motor didnt like it. So a few guys tried loading the bowl a bit more with the insert and no spin out at all mashing it wide open out of the hole. When its done we will a bunch of fuel burn testing stock and then with the insert and make sure it still has the push and the low speed plain.

I wonder why one would think you should be able to hammer the throttle out of the hole and not slip when over powering a pump that’s built for 330hp ?
Yes to 4 kw . Loading a gas motor so heavy isn’t the answer for sure .
Only run a 3.4 in our 502 as well as better to let motor breath. Lol
Does it spin out ? You bet but need to lean into the throttle and then hammer it . See you later . Lol
Scott’s ? Pffft They slip also until they get moving and then pull . You can feel it in the boat as feels lazy .
From past experience? Whatever you do one thing with the power and performance at certain rpm you lose someplace else .
Be interesting to see your findings ?

what kind of trailer are you putting under this girl? I need a new trailer for my twin and the USD/CAD is going to make it steep.

I agree with the hard hole shot not being required, I only do it when needed, heavy loads and short holes.

I had the 3.4 in with a 502 , worked very well, , since changed to a LSA, 3.4 was to easy to spin out but was way more fun at higher rpms, went to the 4 , hated it, put only a few hours on it, took it out, rpms to low , slower to spin up , just not as much fun. Messed around with a few changes, then sent the 3.4 to the guy in Dawson creek ,told him what i wanted, he altered it , very happy with it, he does a good job. Decent hole shot, very quick response , pushes very well thru the whole rpm range , cruise speed and fuel use is awesome, and still allows the LSA to be better utilized on the top end. . No way you can totally hammer the throttle out of the hole , but I've yet to figure out why you wanna do that ?? Guy told me thats possible with every motor/pump combination, just keep reducing HP , or impeller it like a diesel , but fun factor goes down on top end accordingly.

Not saying it’s not required so much as it’s hard to achieve when over powering a pump.
I will bet mine even slipping a bit will jump out just as fast or faster then one that’s loading the motor to heavy or holding the volume back?
Hamilton’s are volume pumps and you may be able to restrict flow and give that sense it’s not spinning out but is it taking off faster then if you leaned into throttle giving it a chance before hammering it ?
I don’t believe so but will be interesting to see if it does or not?
Hasn’t in the past with Scott nozzle on a Hamilton .
Look forward to the further testing .

Yes for sure to all the comments, the need to hammer it out of the hole is few and far between it was also holding better in tight turns. I will be staying with the 3.4 no matter what cuz as Len said the 4.0 just lugs it down and feels lazy. Its easy to pull the insert no no big deal but will test it both ways. This is also from Bryce from Custom Weld that has been working on this with Tony from Jetco, This is what they have found.

Well this is one of the sexiest river boats I ever laid my eyes on..... so I think my new boat is going green as well.

slick! the integrated swim platform and their little drop in the side window really clean these things up! as nice as an Edge but way better bottom
