So the old girl just turned 15 and needs a bunch of TLC.

I will be installing Seadek cusion flooring on the swim platforms, pass thru and bow. She is getting all new upholstery & snap in carpet in the cockpit area.

Its also a good time to fix up all the little annoying things - plasti-dip or somehow refresh my gauge cluster plate, reinforce a weak spot in the fiberglass on the motor hatch, modify the mooring cover to go on without having to remove the bimini.

I also want to install a marine amp and sub on a toggle switch so I can power it up when I want but also turn it off when we are just puttering around the lake. Underwater lighting is something else I would like to explore.

I'm excited about the seadek…. it's all templated up and I will be shipping the templates away today for production. In my opinion it adds a level of finish that most boats lack, also much easier on the feet and easier to keep clean than the stock fiberglass anti-skid.

I'm looking for someone to give me hand with the audio and lighting, recommendations on product choice and direction/help with install.

I've researched the stuff for years and the reviews are fantastic. Most of them are from the south (Florida/Texas/Carolinas) and it seems to hold up well to the heat and everyday use. My big concern is winter storage and how the freeze/thaw will effect the adhesive. I'm doing the rear and front deck for now and if I'm happy with it I will eventually do the entire cockpit.

I've been given a rough estimate of about $1500 USD for a 16 piece package.

Those guys on jetboaters.net do an annual group purchase where you can get full sheets. My only concern with the full sheets is that you do not get the routered edge if you need to cut it to fit. When they C&C it, the edges are nicely finished and the faux teak is properly placed. If you were to lay a full sheet with no alterations then I can see it being alright.

On the Seadek website you can look up your year/make/model of boat and if someone has already templated that boat you can buy a pre-cut set specific to your boat - unfortunately the Regal 2650 LSC is a very rare model and no one has ever templated it before so I had about 7 hours of templating to do.

always willing to help when it comes to audio and 12v lighting Ian. All you gotta do is call or text.... I'll send Sara to hang with your wife and I'll come assist with the vessel.

That's a good idea.... I pulled the gauge cluster out today and what a clusterfawk that would be to take apart.... be better off to hand paint it. I figured the gauges would pop through leaving me with the façade but no luck I would have to fully disconnect and remove each one....

I never did provide any updates - Broke my ankle @ Christmas in NY and never got around to finishing my install until May - Very happy with the finished product. Didn't get to any of the Audio or Lighting will do that in spring 2020 along with new mooring cover and a camper canvas extension - That is assuming we don't upgrade, getting the itch for a bigger unit. 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 1.jpg
