Depends on what kind of boat your running, and where you want to shoot up. I'd recommend going all the way up the herrick to the falls. 126k one way. We made it up our first attempt this past july. Just don't screw up and get pinched down into the Mcgregor falls you'll fold your boat like a taco.

There are a couple of us interested , would most likely be 4 or so boats if we can get our ducks in a row yet this year. Will the water stay constant now till the end of the year , barring a huge rainfall or does it get where it's not runnable ? Herrick falls is one of the places we were hoping to go . Boats are all small shallow water capable and drivers are very experienced in rock hopping. Thanks for your reply, if we get it together maybe you could join us , show us your area.

We weren't planning on until next spring, as boat doesn't have plastic. But arm could be twisted, such a beauty area with lots of water sheds to rip up. You'd have to talk to locals, currently 269m3/s of water rolling through it. 2.76m of water at the Hansard launch, but I'd launch at the Church Crossing, cuts 20 minutes. The fraser river from Hansard launch is a nice trip through the upper canyon, more laid back.

You shouldn't have any issues then. And if you do, you have a big group to pull out. There is lots of back channels on the herrick, stay left on most of them. Bring fuel, think we burnt 200l that run.
