Anyone else ever used a linear actuator for a reverse bucket on their jet boat? My reverse cable broke about 2 years ago and I didn't wanna pay the $1400 for a new cable and control to fix it and figured theirs gotta be a cheaper way, I tried a linear actuator and it's worked great. It's fast acting and so far so good and only cost me $150. Yup I'm cheap but hey it works better then my cable reverse...

I thought about a hydraulic cylinder, never followed through on it. I'd be interested in more information for sure. Sportjet?

No its a Kodiak 3 stage pump. The linear actuator you can get for cheap out of china, they're fast acting and have built in limits. I took it out on the weekend and it worked excellent.
