Hi, thanks for the feedback! Around Fernie it rained up to 6500 ft, not sure about Crowsnest area and Elk Valley North though, suspect a little lower in these areas. We're back on the field tomorrow, we'll check it out and definitely let you know through our MIN posts (water droplet looking icons on the Avalanche.ca map) and possibly another blog soon. Cheers!

Hi, you will have to sign up again on the RSS feed to receive the bulletins directly. This is because we changed our website this year. Here's the instructions below. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Set up an RSS feed for your email:

  1. Select a RSS aggregator
  2. Go to the forecast of your choice and click on the “RSS feed” icon near the bottom of the right-hand pane. This will take you to the RSS feed for that region.
  3. Copy the url and paste it into the appropriate field of your RSS aggregator.
  4. Fill in your email address.
  5. Voila! Watch the Avalanche Canada forecast roll into your inbox.

What's this RSS you speak of?
RSS aggregator?
Is that something that will work in an iPhone?

Brad, I was told about it and registered on the South Rockies bulletin page basically as per instructions above. Everything was fine and daily bulletins were in the mail box for all of January. Then the bulletins quit coming. I re-registered again on Feb 8th and I only got one bulletin. There are obviously some glitches in the process.

I don't know if anyone else is getting daily bulletins or not. It would be a shame if they weren't due to the changes implemented at the beginning of the season.

Thx Doug.
I tried unsuccessfully to get it to work today.
Also have been having some issues with the App as well
Some say progress is a good thing but in years past, that bulletin was always in my inbox.
Easy peasy.

I would think getting the bulletins out to people would be a high priority for them. Maybe shoot them an email to their head office and let them know of the technical issues you are experiencing!
