How long do avy packs last?

I have a 08/09 ish 30L snowpulse.... Had a update done. Its been pulled 3 times in its life time......

When do i replace it?

Like i could get lighter, smaller one, the vests are slick. But do i need to spend a $1000 on a pack i already have?

I use an ABS pack and according to them, their packs have a 10 year life before replacement is needed or pack to be sent back for full inspection.
This is for ABS.
I have had mine now for 9 years, so good for one more before i need it inspected or replaced.

would be like any safety device, our fall arrest stuff at work needs inspections as well. Ill maybe call snowpulse canada

This is what they sent back to me, lots of good info. Lots of which i do not follow.........going to do an bag inspection and a test fire no canister for sure.

So it says built to do 20 inflation's. So if you test it every year (assuming you didn't use it for an avalanche) shes good for 20 years........

Keep reading. Further down it says 10 year life.

With ABS everything is replaceable. We say ten years the bag should be serviced for sure with a test activation once per year(10 activations- 1/per year). The residue from the pneumatic handle will be checked and hoses will be replaced etc at this time if it needs it. Air bags can be updated as well to the new style etc. This is for ABS.
