Avalanche Canada and the South Rockies Field Team will be hosting a free backcountry avalanche workshop in Fernie on January 8th at the Golf course 7-9pm. This year's topics will include:
*The New Avalanche Canada website...how to use it, navigate it, access avalanche bulletins, blogs and so on
*The new "Mountain Information Network"-How sharing YOUR observations can make a difference to public avalanche safety!
*An avalanche accident case study from "Cherry Bowl" (near Shames Mountain, BC)
