...will be one of those Kootenay epic bluebird pow classics. I hope everyone has a great one. The avi risk will not be outrageous but keep in mind the north/ northeast winds that happened with the recent storm. Watch out for wind loaded slopes.

I don't mean to preach,:nono: but after a long drought like we've had, ( we all tend to get a little complacent) then a significant snowfall, combine it with a blue sky and sunshine. The human factor kicks in and sometimes the common sense kicks out.

All I'm saying is have fun:beer: but be safe people, we've seen more than enough statistics already this year... we don't want the list to grow!

Great reminder, but I suggest we urge the avalanche concern is much higher than you let on to believe.

With a combination of weak layers, hoar frost on north sides, suncrust on south sides, wind slabs on eastern sides, and persistant problem layers below tree line, ALL aspects are dangerous right now!

Use common sense. As explained, it's tough because of conditions, especially being after a dry spell, but BE SAFE PEOPLE!. We don't need any more posts of fallen riders.

Visit the following link and read carefully. Understand and listen to what's been said. Look at the reported avalanches and think to yourself is it worth it?
