I wonder if this is a free upgrade or just discounted offer on new device. Regardless if those who have already reached out can comment back, that would be helpful

^ X2 curious to see what the response and outcome is

It is not supposed to lock in the search position. In case of a emergency you need to be able to quickly switch it back to send.

I don’t like this feature at all to be honest, your in a rush and slide the beacon into your pocket or back into the case to shovel and without knowing your back into transmit mode! I understand what the reason is but it can cause issues! But sometimes auto revert can be a pain too.

Warranty claim here too, not clear on what the replacement cost will be if at all.

For a cost, I just got the pricing, for beacons two years old and older.

Pieps Powder BT: $100.00 USD

Pieps Micro BT or Micro Sensor: $125.00 USD

Pieps Pro BT: $150.00 USD

but they want your old beacon first.

Maybe Upgrading to a different beacon all together is a better option??? Not a great time to be sending out a beacon.

I've already got a Powder BT, won't be dropping $100 US on another one. Thanks for sharing. The Pieps sport will stay as a training transceiver or lender for someone really in a pinch.

Good plan, just bury it and use it for others to try and find. I just got my BCA's upgraded for software. They paid shipping both ways and the upgrade was free. That is how you should be treated.

Sounds like much better customer support, glad the BCA products work for you.

I just got my e mail back and it states that I can replace both of my DSP pros for a micro bt or micro sensor for $100 usd or I can upgrade to the pro bt for $100 usd. Did you still have proof of purchase for yours? I am just trying to understand the reasoning for the difference in price.

Either way. Looks like I will get 2 brand new transceivers for only $200 which seems very fair to me considering the 2 that I have now have served me well for 5-6 years.
