8 watt radios/beacons

Anyone know if a 8 watt 2 way radios are a good idea? Just curious about interference with the Beacons.

I'm sure you don't want them in the same pocket


But most 8 Watt ones have external mic and are put into pack or handle bar bag ( that's where mine goes)

Your beacon will be fine but your testicles??? 8 Watts is no microwave oven but it does use the same high frequency. Keep the antenna away form your body when transmitting. ; )
