are you saying you have had to replace the seal. there shouldn't be anything getting in the weep hole. and it wouldn't be a good idea to plug it. if its your seals your replacing you need to snorkel your overflow bottle. there is a hole in the cap and sand and dirt can get in it. you need to put a barbed fitting in it and run a hose up where your vent line are. or you can get a cap for an 08. it has the fitting built right in.

A way to clean your rad at camp.

If you get ahold of a old fire ext. that they had in schools the hand pump with a hose and nozzle.

You can spray into the rad to clean it.

Its a easy way to flush out mud from the fins

The can ams do the same thing. Mud and dirt get into the weephole which in turn ruins the outer seal and they start to leak. Can am has a service buliten on this and they of course repair the seal, install a spigot into the weep hole and run a tube up into the dash pod to keep the mud out. I think I would personaly want a clear tube so you can see if antifreeze is coming out and tell you when your outer seal is screwed. Maybe discuss this with your service dept. It is just a poor design in my opinion. I'm sure alot of quads are similar.

As Onlypolaris asked, are they replacing the pump or just the outer seal?

Whatever you do, do not plug the weep hole. Any pressure build up can push coolant into the engine through the inner seal.

If you need to replace the seal again, flush your whole system first, including you overflow bottle. Snorkle the bottle up high. You can even get a barbed fitting from P.A. I think.

Any dirt in the cooling system will get flushed through the pump and eat the seal again.

They might think it's going in through the weep hole, but it's not.

The cap for the overflow bottle is about the same height on the quad as the floorboards. If you snorkle the overflow bottle, you shouldn't have any more problems with it.

ya it is definately going through the hole on the overflow bottle. sand get in there then eats away the seal. then antifreeze will come out the weep hole. you need to flush your system and put a new seal in. then snorkel the overflow bottle and you will have no more problems.
