Looking for help in SxS decision...

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and realize this may turn into a can of worms, however my son and I are having a hard time deciding on what machine to buy...

Choices:

2015 Arctic Cat Wildcat X Limited
2015 Polaris RZR 1000 XP EPS (perhaps the 2014 as a dealer has one at a good price)
2015 Polaris RZR 900S EPS

Terrain:

Waiporous, Maclean Creek in Alberta
Moyie Lake and Koocanusa areas in BC

Potential Dealers in Play:

Ralphs in Calgary
Mountain Toys in Cochrane
Cycle Works in Airdrie (not impressed with the Calgary location at all)

Currently own a 2015 Honda Pioneer 700 and love it, just looking for a more sporty one for the barn...

Want to buy quickly... I've test driven both in parking lots, not out on trail... Any feedback relating to dealers and/or machines (riding terrain specific) is appreciated...

I may as well start the storm.

I have rode with both machines and currently own a Rzr.

The cat has a wide turning radius. Also is very wide in the rear for trails. But has a great high speed ride.

The Rzr turns sharper. Narrow in the rear. Has a good high speed ride.

Honestly don't see many cats on the trail.

If you own and like the pioneer you won't be able to wipe the smile off you face with either of those! But I would chose the rzr.

Looks like a 2015 RZR 900S has worked its way into the conversation of possibilities ... Thus making this decision even tougher...

I have owned the wild cat as well as quite a few rzrs... In shot if your riding is a mix of everything I would go rzr... No ?? About it. The cat is a fine machine, just not built for tighter trails/ low speed riding. If you want to ride at 60 mph every where the cat shines.... If you get on tight twisty trails , you will curse it.
Now the rzrs (both 900/1000 ) work well in ALL situations , pretty much. You must decide on the type of terrain you choose to tackle ... All 3 big ones are good ... Canam/ rzr /Cat .....the cat is more single purpose... The canam does not handle as well as the rzr or cat. The rzr has the best combination of desirable traits...IMO . As well as the best aftermarket selection of add on parts....
As far as reliability , they are all close.... The 900S is the most ready to ride ,right out of the box.. In terms of $$$ spent to make it "ready to ride" . And the 900 motor is pretty bull it proof as well.....proven ! The stock clutching is great,so are the new axles/ rad / frame/ and so is the serviceability ..On the othe hand,
the 1000 needs a pile more money spent on it , to get it up to shape. BUT it's suspension and power are tough to beat in its combination...

i would go with the 900 XC 55 inches wide and has all the options on it power steering, doors, good shocks, and great seats, the S is 60 inches wide and can't fit in the back of a truck and won't make it over some bridges

Wow... Thanks for the input guys... I think we are circling around the 2015 RZR S 900... Seems to be the best option for our riding style and terrain... Thanks so much!

The 900 is a great unit and goes great too. Good rebates on them right now as well. Many aftermarket parts. for parts check out utv Canada's website, you can purchase all these parts at your dealer or aftermarket sxs shop

I think hes looking for an OUT of campsite machine ron... Possibly look else where for opinions? ;-)

Check all the brand names.

Everyone makes a good machine.

Lots of choices either trail riding or use on an acreage or farm.
