I’m an avid Arctic Cat hater and haven't darkened the door of a Arctic Cat dealer since 2005 and never even considered an Arctic Cat when looking for a SXS but I’m 6’4” and don’t fit in any SXS well. So after wedging myself into the options my wife insisted we stop at Arctic Cat and I'm the kind of husband that does what he's told. So we stop at the Arctic Cat dealer against my better judgment. I so avoid anything Arctic Cat that I missed the Wildcat hoopla. I walk into the dealer with as much enthusiasm as going to the dentist. Then bam out of the corner of my eye I see a sand rail. I turn my head and it's not a rail but it's not a utv either. All I know is I’m looking at the vehicle I was hoping the Honda Odyssey would evolve into back in the 80’s and I want it.

Then reality bites me it’s some kind of cat and I once bought an Arctic Cat I spent no exaggeration 4 out of 5 trips on my previous Arctic Cat tied to the back of a Japanese ATV. It got so bad I went to town bought a Suzuki so I could tow my own Arctic Cat back to camp. My King Quad was never the best at anything but did most things well. The most important thing is in the 7 years I had it we never came home on the trailing end of a tow strap. I also have no doubt that the #@$&ERS that stole it are still riding it; like they stole it.

Has the board of directors fallen asleep at Suzuki? Why is there no Suzuki UTV?

The question is has Arctic Cat addressed their reliability issues or are Wildcat owners going to spend a lot of time watching the backs of Rhinos and Teryxs at the end of a tow strap?
I would appreciate anyone who has seat experience in the Wildcat and those who tow them back to camp to weigh in.

from all the reviews and reports i have seen, they are having fails all over the place. Some have been good, but other not so much. I think they need a few years to work out the bugs.

By far the best design out there is the wildcat for pure fun. I just wish it held together and i would def buy one.

If you had an older cat then it probably had a suzuki motor in it. Cat just started doing there own motors a handful of years back. What were the problems with the one you had. I stopped in at cat today and had a look at the wild cats nice looking machine but not for me. But do want to look for a mud pro though.

Thanks for the input.
I had a 2004 Arctic Cat 650 with the Kawasaki V twin it was awesome when it was running the trouble was it was only awesome for a few minutes then it was time to hook it up and tow it back to camp. But on the bright side we never had to tow it far. Most of the problems I remember were belt problems. But there were others i don't recall off hand. No dealers would take it on trade finally found a dealer in Drayton that dealt Arctic cat and Kawasaki so my wife ended up with a 750 Brute force. But the dealer in Drayton said there had been warrantee work charged against it and not done by the then Red Deer Dealer. He went so far as to say he would do the work and the problems would be solved and I should keep it. But I was so fed up by then I traded anyway. Don’t know if that’s the case about the warrantee work but I do know the Arctic Cat dealership in Red Deer has changed ownership since then.
