    Arctic cat???

Hi I'm new to this grouphoping to hear from somebody with the experience with Arctic cat good or bad.I don't know anything about them.. I have a brute force 650 and its pretty awesome and I would stick with that But I have moved to Europe and I ran into a deal on the arctic cat 700 I XT Alterra.personally I don't think it can even compare to a brute force but I just wanted to hear if there's anybody out there that could give me a little info on them. It's a 2016 model thanks in advance

    Re: Arctic cat???

That has cats own 700 cc motor a single . Reliable and lots of bottom end torque. Won't feel as fast as your 650 but close ...
Chassis will be quite different than you kawi, steering and high center of gravity will feel more tippy . The alterra is a new model so I am sure it will have a few changes from the old generation AC machines ...
Clutching is good , more of a mud , trail machine than an all around machine like a grizzly for example . Will be heavier and certainly not as nimble .
The 700's have proven tough and reliable though ...
Very few new (new)cat atv 's on the trails out here ....
    Good luck

    Arctic cat???

The European model is way different than the North American model. They are street legal with turn signals horn etc. The guys from the cat forum love them. The alterra also is lighter and has a much lower center of gravity than previous years.

    Re: Arctic cat???

Actually the model in Europe is from north America and the only difference is it has a horn signal lights and mirrors and a bracket for the license plate. I went and looked at the two side-by-side today and that's the only difference between them.so so you're not actually missing all that much in Canada when it comes to that. And here in Denmark if you want to ride it on the road with license plates you can add a $20,000 onto the atv price.so if you want plates on it you're looking at about $40,000 here. I'd rather drive in the back 40s in Canada then pay that amount. Mind you they do look pretty bad ass ripping down the street

The European model also a catalytic converter and a bunch more emissions crap on it.
