Just bought a new (used) grizzly. Needs new rubber. Was suggested to be the three ITP mud lites were the 'most popular tire we sell'....

Any suggestions for all around good tire?

Cheers

I second the zilla's, I had them on my Outlander and they were a great all-around Tire

Maxxis Zilla imo

sure took a long time to convince you!!!! lol,

mud oriented terrain - Zilla's are a good all round tire. light weight, semi aggressive, inexpensive.
gravel oriented terrain - the bighorns work well and generally last a long time.
there are lots of others out there, just the ones i have used and seen being used.
mud lites have a lot of problems, pin holes develop around the tire letters from excessive flexing, unless free leave them where they sit, found pretty much the same with most itp products, as they don't like low tire pressures or sitting on flat tires for any length of time.

Zillas on a Grizzly work awesome. As said, great all around tire and very light which means they won't rob power from your modestly powered Grizzly. The combo that works great for me are 28x12 in the rear and 28x10 in the front on a 12" rim. Going slightly wider like that will give you a bit better flotation in the skeg. Lots of different opinions, but that setup has worked stellar for me.

Word of warning. Do not waste your money upgrading to 14" rims. The stock 12" rims are super light, so an aftermarket will rob you of power. Also, you'll be puncturing sidewalls if you go with a 14" rim and run 28" tires or smaller - at least with lighter tires like mud lights or zillas - not enough sidewall.

Zillas for a good all around tire on a quad! If you ever even think about mud don’t even think about big horns! Check out cst wild things. CST make the zillas and the wild things are very close to zillas design wise. Maybe even have a bit better side lug.

What's wrong with bighorns? Same pattern as my traxion tires and my buddy rides bighorns and as long as our tires are still on the ground they pull us through everything

from what i have seen bighorns work well, they just become large donuts when they go through sticky mud, just don't clean out the treads like the zillas will. again they are a good tire just not as good as zillas in mud, or from what i have heard "wild thangs". I have had no experience with them though. would like to see a comparison of the same size tires on the same quad, which is the only valid comparison! i find it funny when a guy compares his new tires to his old worn out ones, well batman they are just going to work better, and are likely a larger diameter tire, etc etc.

Nothing really wrong with them, they are a tough long lasting tire. I just seen them in sticky mud and like said they just turn smooth and don’t grip, unless you are spinning at 100 mph lol.

I only ride a 500 getting up to 100 is impossible...lol... but I will definitely buy these tires again..never leave me stranded. If ride with people running other tires and similar size machine... they are never able to go where I do... but also chalk some of that to rider skill and my I can do it attitude when riding...lol

if you are happy with them, good, they are not a bad tire, work for where you ride, that is all that matters.
