Would be tough sledding around here this time of year! But I can run a quad all year. To many different aspects to make a fair comparison

I'll bite, lol.

Sledding = $$$$$$
Sledding = FIRCK"N LOUD
Sledding = Greater risk of death
Sledding = Not as fun in summer as quad is in winter
Sledding = Too hard for out of shape guys like me :)

no different than asking whats better, apples or oranges. Kinda similar but very different.

:boink:

Oranges = more nutritional value
Oranges = better with vodka
Oranges = less fiber (less fiber, less pooping in the bush)

I prefer sledding.
But I still enjoy my side x side. Best of both worlds
But if I could only ever do one for the rest of my life it would be sledding.

1- cover far more ground
2- I can actually lift and roll my sled over by myself
3- cooler temps. Can always put more layers on. Can only take so much off.
4- crashing. Snow doesn't hurt as much.
5- easier to dig a stuck sled out.
6- at the end of the day. The snow melts off. You need to spend 20 bucks washing off mud and muck.
7- snow doesn't eat seals and bearings like muskeg does.
8- no insects.

My list what I like about quadding
1- being out enjoying the air.
2- it's warmer out
3- my friends quad.
4- has a winch
5- it makes summer go by faster so sled season gets here quicker.

Both are fun. Sleddings funner.

I really like sledding! I haven't done it for 2 winters now. I only mountain sledded to so the cost was high. So if I am sticking around locally I would pick my sxs. How many years has it been that we could even ride sleds around home here? My sxs doesn't need to wait for the right weather. I can ride it any time of the year. And sleds don't have beer holders!

Get both do not fawk around!!! Although depending where you live the amount of snow and your budget could push you one way or the other.

I have snowmobiled all my life, and it is way more of a rush, even the wife prefers it more and she's rocks a RX1 too lol, always hated quads as a kid but then I had a family of my own and found it to be the best way to go on adventures, the advances they have made on atvs now a days they can be a rush too. Quad blows in the winter when we have lots of snow, Kinda hard on the sled to run in the summer, but probably still fun.

If you live where you have four seasons you prob need at least four toys.

If your asking what to buy first, go with what your friends have.

It is more fun to say " hey watch this" if there is somebody else with you!

there is nothing lamer than an ATV. SXS is much better but still doesnt compare to a sled!
when your going 70 miles per hour on average for 16 hrs in the mexican desert with all different classes of racers that might get you going fairly expensive though

I agree, quad-sxs-bike is just a summer time filler, something to keep thumb -arms in shape to hit sledding without getting sore first ride

Although it's cool to get up with them to where we sled and see the difference
