I have been bouncing around on a Foreman 450 for almost 8000 kms now and am thinking about an upgrade. I am looking at a 2016 Rubicon with IRS and high/low range but I am having a hard time finding any reviews on how this transmission is. I mostly use my machine for hunting, taking the kids for tours and crawling around in muskeg. My days of getting totally covered in mud from head to toe are over (I must be getting old). I just wonder how low is low range? Is it lower than the regular foreman 500 in 1st gear? I wanna buy a set of 27" Outlaws for crawling around but I cant stand it when you cant get tires to spin. I know its only a 500 still and some will say that outlaw's are to much blah blah blah, but like I said how low is low range. Tires won't stay on full time, i'll switch back to stockers for around home.

I think honda's are becoming a dying bread in the atv world. They are pretty far behind the rest of the pack in technology. I see very few of them out on the trails or even in town. Its usually just the dye hard Honda fans that still have em

We have a 07 rubicon 500 with hi low and put 27" tires on it, good machine for a woman to drive low range is low but the transmission robs alot of the power and fuel mileage very poor, solid axle on back is not a smooth ride, would not buy another one. Also with the tires in low still wont spin tires in some places

this is my second ruby 500 had tracks on my 2004 and this 20210 left stock, haul a heavy trailer into the richardson back country every year 500 km minimum trip and use it for hunting and trail riding. I find the low range quite adequate with no troubles I like the straight axle for hauling trailers It is not a speedster but very steady. never left me stranded
