So a couple weeks ago a older guy had a small cement mixer for sale on Kijiji, I need one for a little house project. When I was at his place we were chatting about farming and this years hay crop. He said he was moving to bc soon and has a electric motor for it that he will toss in so he does not have to move it. We went into his shop and holy sh*t he had a nice 1982 atc 250r and a absolutely mint 1978 Honda 50z. I asked if he would ever part with them. He said he would think about it but since he's moving he most likely would. Well a couple days went by and he called me back and said he would let with them for $1200 and he would toss in the rupp go cart but it's pretty rough..
I'm pretty excited to get them cleaned up and running again. Also these are not for sale.

And paint and to fix oil leaks. Lol. Either way I'd love to have the pair as well.

Surprising there is no oil leaks on either (Might change after I ride them). The 50z is 38 years old it's mint.... Yes the paint and stickers are faded but the tin is as nice as it was when it rolled off the line. I'm pretty sure the 50 will be getting a full resto and I'll be hanging it up on the wall in the shop.

I think once you wash the engine off on the 250 and ride it you will see some oil leaks. I could be wrong though. Just looking at the way the dirt is built up on it. You may want to have a real good look inside both fuel tanks as well before you start them. Make sure they aren't rusted out.

Ya the 250 will take some time to get running. I know the tank does not leak as its 1/2 full of 10 year old stale gas. The 50 was bone dry took it for a rip today. Put some fuel in it and two kicks later I was rippin around the farm.

I had the 250 and had it redone to a 300 with a bigger carb and changed the gearing. The thing was stoopid fast. Would actually rip the knobs off of the stock tires - wheelies at 90 K etc. Sold it on my doctors advice after my third trip to the hospital. He pointed out that he delivered me and really didn't want to preside over my autopsy.

From the info I found on line. The only thing that is not original is the seat cover and the plastics.
