if you are having problems it might not be the setting,a dirty throttle body will cause problems, had the same problem with mine take the throttle body off and clean with brake clean then adjust the cable so the lever has about 1/8 inch play
Ouch, that probably aren't too cheep. Have you tried cleaning the chit out of it first? I recently had issues with one of my Grizzlies idling highand the throttle sticking shut. I took it to the dealership and they ran it through an ultrasonic bath and it's good as new now. ...din't even charge me for the cleaning.
Actually, you may be able to salvage that throttle body if you can get the correct tolerances for the butterfly adjustment from somewhere. You'd then need to use feeler gauges to set the proper gaps between the butterfly valve and throttle body. Perhaps you have a friend with the same bike that you can measure?
On my Grizzly, I was already confident that the TPS was set correctly, so I was lucky and just had to adjust the butterfly stop until butterfly closed without sticking. Then I double checked my TPS to make sure it was still within spec and adjusted the butterfly slightly until I got the proper TPS readings. If you messed with both, then using the feeler gauges is probably your only option.
LOL, it's me again. I did a little more digging for my own curiosity and it appears that the butterfly opening adjustment is pretty much the same on any throttle body. Here's a video of someone making an adjustment to a Rhino's tb, but this could just as easily be a car or truck. Tolerance is between 2 and 3 thousandths of an inch.
UPDATE
Dealer called, told me to come on down ! Proceeds to tell me the machine still needs work, mechanic tries to start it......finally starts......runs exactly the same, the bill is at $1300, he tells me it needed a new TPS again ..... the last new one lasted .02 kilos, Bill now at $1550...now apparently needs new crank ! So now the bill is touching $2000.00 plus tax, not fixed ! So I pay $2000.00 for them to get experienced on swapping parts that it doesn't need.......doesn't seem right to me !
