How are these sleds?? Got a good deal on one still in the box i don't want to pass up and have the ducks in a roll to pull the plug.

Only issue i have been seeing is belt but things have been put in place to try and fix/fixed the issue. Also other options to fix issue with upgrades as well.

Has anyone had any issues with these sleds or know of someone with issues

Hope they're decent I just bought a new old stock one... I got a buddy that gets 200 miles per belt out of his 12, and another buddy who did have those issues at first but his dealer sorted him out and he's now getting 2000 miles on 240 hp

What year?

There was a gearing update, and secondary update. For 2015 Cat has improved the jackshaft...harder, better tolerances, much better design at the chaincase end. If you have a good dealer they can check engine alignment for you. Other than that the engine is amazing and the sled is a riot.

Should we be sticking pretty close to the recommended engine break in? 600 miles is a damn long time lol
Will definitely be breaking in belts properly... Hope it's not a belt eater with the big fin clutch, I've got the belt guard and gearing update on order.

it is indeed damn tough to wait till 500/600 miles for break in. Think I was patient up till about 100. Proper belt break in is a must. Some of these sleds were good, some not so good. Engine alignment seems to be the biggest issue, and many have solved their issues by aligning engine, lower gearing and the new clutch upgrades. Early primaries were sticking causing issues as well. Some have had good success with the STM moveable sheave or Thunder Products 911 cover if the primary is causing problems.

Had it out the other day and put 10 miles on... Keeping it at around 25 mph feels impossible, this things a beast and just wants to motor!!! And that's just giving it 1/4 throttle, can't wait to really open it up lol
