Read on another site that some people are changing out the stock primary spring to a Speedwerx 120/285. They say it gives you more throttle control, rippy feal so you can really work it and not just pin and hang on. Has anyone done this if so what colour of spring would equal the Speedwerx one? Talked with the local dealer and they tell me they have never sold one or had anyone inquire about changing to one.

iv run a few different springs in my 16 LTD. the original stock one actually broke, 85/255. I ran a Team 105/255 for a while, it was decent, little higher engagement rpm. Also iv been running Speedwerx 155/315 with a Speedwerx stage 2 pipe setup. It runs strong man, instant throttle response. Theres a trade off though. your engagement will increase to 4200ish. So i drag the brake to ensure i dont spin when stuck ect. But if you install a 2017 Team primary, they have reshimmed the spider, it will engage smoother with the same spring.
