Not really a tech tip but,

2012-2018 replacement handwarmer element is $84-110 dealer pending. A 2019 replacement part handwarmer, same plug is $20. A tad bit different design.

Your welcome. Now take your savings, and buy an ASA trail pass you delinquents lol

So wasn’t exactly right, my intel from dealer wasn’t perfect, but it works.

I plugged it right in. It ran super hot on 1 circuit. If you want the option of 2 settings, splice it in pretty easy.

on the sled side, black is ground, green/white stripe is hot.

Take it or leave it, pretty easy $80 savings.

Another tip: I filled my bars with expanded foam when I first bought the sled, it strengthens bars and insulates for better heating. So if you have filled the bars with foam, if you spray lube such as WD-40 at the grip opening, then blast air in the from an air compressor, it’ll pop the glue on the grip, WD-40 pushes in there, grip slides off, saving from buying another grip.

You bet. There’s 3 ports to stuff the straw into to fill her up. I used the center hole first, then outside holes to make sure I had it.
Im pretty hard on my sled, never bent a bar, so I figure it has to help structurally and heat wise for sure

Spray foam can be way too messy. Just use ordinary house insulation and stuff them full. Works great!!

I did the spray foam on my cat....never again, was a friggin mess. The regular insulation stuffed in with a screw driver is a great idea!

Ok so I know this is an old post but these grips warmers will work on a 2013 proclimb 800 plug and play only for option 1 HOT and if you want option 2 WARM then you need to splice wires this correct??

As there are only 2 wires on the new grip warmer, there would only be one setting: hot. The older warmers have 2 heating elements, and the low/high settings are controlled by heating only one for low, or both for high. This cheaper option will give you heat, but if you find that you turn them to low after the grips get hot you wont be able to do that with these.
