Came back from the mountains and gave my 2017 mountain cat a good wash and clean. Put it in garage and didn’t touch it for 2 weeks. Went to pull it out and got this code and wrench on gauge. I did some research and found out it’s an air temp sensor issue or wire. I have pulled apart all plugs that relate to it and the ecu. I checked resistance on the sensor and it seems to be working fine. At plus 10 Celsius it reads around 17 ohms and when you put it near heat it goes down. There is continuity from gauge wire to ecu. All pins look fine. WhAt. could I be missing? On a side note the gauge went bonkers as well. Would show going 80 mph standing still and when you reved engine it would go from 0 to 100. I took gauge off and brought inside to dry out in case it had moisture. It seemed to have quit now that I did that. Is that a possible cause? The gauge ? Thanks for any help

When you have crazy things happening electrically like your speedo was, usually its a ground issue. In your case you already know what happened as you fixed the speedo. Most likely when you washed it some connectors got wet probably more than one. Take them all apart dry with compressed air and reconnect with dielectric applied to connector pins.

ECU 5 will be an open or short circuit in the intake air temp sensor circuit.
If you just washed your sled, good chance it is water in conncetion some where. Clean and dry with air and dielectric grease plugs..
