Take apart your reverse actuator motor, willing to bet there is corrosion on the windings. Similar thing happened on my Sidewinder.

Check your idle speed if its to high there is no reverse. I cant remember exactly but it's around the 2000 rpm area that it stops working.

Idle speed is ok , will check the other suggestions, thx

We’ll keep us up to speed on this one. Never heard of just nothing happening. Usually it’s slow idle issue and sled dies.

Im thinking it’s gotta be the push button failed. And that button is linked to the kill switch and or tether if or however you installed.

2 stroke, We don’t have an actuator motor in a chain case like the above guys 4 stroke. It’s a full motor running backwards. I’d mess with the switch first

Open up the housing in handlebars and the two wire harness connector that plugs on to the switch is most likely corroded. Happened to mine a few weeks ago. Contact cleaner and some dielectric grease worked. Also bent the terminal prongs a bit to allow a tighter connection.

Thx, I’m changing my bars anyway so pulling the switch apart was my first attempt at a repair. Not a great mechanic but it just felt like the switch quit. Sounds like a quick easy repair, will post when figured out.

My switches filled with ice this trip.
Kill switch barely moves. Reverse was hard. Bar warmer switches stuck on high.
When my TPS failed I pulled the block apart to disconnect. The block.was packed full with snow and ice.

Great advice guy's, his sled is a 2014. YES it has an reverse actuator and NO it doesn't reverse the motor.
Idle will have no effect on the sleds ability to go into reverse as it uses an actuator to engage a reverse gear.
One... check your switch, clean and pack with dielectric. These switches are not sealed and it is common to get water and ice that can actually damage the switch.
I always pack these switches completely with grease this helps prevent water from entering.
Two...Check that actuator motor as mentioned by Lunch_box, the armature is prone to corrosion, easy fix, just need to clean it.

My apology it appears certain models had the reverse engine capability in 2014.

It's an 800 2 stroke. The motor runs backwards.

Reverse engine capability in the 800s has been around since 2010 on the M series.

Maybe i'll just go back to bed now.

Update, easiest fix I ever did, pull the plug apart, load up with grease , got reverse like it was new. Threw on a set of CFR bars and really like the feel. Look good too!
