Hey everyone,

I’ve got a 2015 Kincaid edition with a 153X2.6” factory setup and I’ve found a guy who wants to trade skids straight across and give me his 162 skid setup with a 3” challenger track. I’m just looking for any advice from people who’ve done it...

Will the 3” fit without changing drivers etc?

It also looks like I’ll have to extend my tunnel a bit, what’s the best way to go about that? Dealer/aftermarket/etc...

Will I need to change my clutching at all?

Anything else I’m missing, I’d be glad to get filled in from the people who know!

Thanks!

It will fit without doing drivers but is very tight and in stickier snow will pack up and make some noise and if a rock makes it way into there could take out the cooler. i would recommend doing the drivers at the same time. for the extra 400 is cheaper then 6 hours and 600 for a cooler.

for tunnel going to an oem will be your best looking bet as light and bumpers and flaps fit the best. after market is nice if you are willing to make things work

If you can trade a 153 track and skid straight up for 162 go for it. Just change the drivers. The tunnel doesn’t need to be lengthened though it’s fine. Just trim off some of the flap. Did my ‘13 153 in ‘14 and have put on 1000 miles since with no issues.

If you did want to do the tunnel it would only be thebackhalf and I was told they are only about 300.00

I would recommend going with the drivers as mentioned and a CR Racing tunnel cap with rear bumper. Fit and finish is far better then Cat and you can have color matched to whatever color you want

yup to this.
If you change drivers, you’ll need to gear up

Well, thanks to a nice fellow rider on here I’ve traded my 8 tooth drivers for a set of 7 tooth avid drivers, I’ve got the 162X3” setup now so just waiting on the mail to arrive next week, and I’ve got new 21/49 gears and a hyvo chain to put in. I don’t want to stretch the tunnel so I’ll most likely get a PDP snow flap and mod something up to make that work. Should have it all back together next week and be able to take it out for a test rip! Can’t wait to get it into the trees and see how she goes!
