Torque Plate cracking

Has anyone seen there torque plate cracking between the clutches? If so have you found any after market ones or just go to the dealer?
Its on a 2016 M8000 limited 162”

There have been a few reports of the torque plates cracking. Not very common

Mine cracked because this happened. Primary blew up in eagles on Saturday

any clues that the clutch was an issue before the failure, more vibration etc

Not that I could pin point. Just happened when I was 3/4 throttle maybe 6800 rpm doing a pow turn. I've had the cover off multiple times and never saw premature wear or cracks, but I could have missed something

Since I have to buy a new clutch I am getting an upgraded 18/19 clutch from SSI. For what it's worth I'd recommend the upgrade anyways and keep your stock primary as a spare. Having a primary blow in the backcountry is not fun

do the upgraded clutches completely eliminate that vibration the 16's had in the clutches

Supposedly so. And they no longer require the deflection adjustor on the secondary, plus comes with a belt

I found the clutch and longer belt from SSI, who sells the kits in Canada ?
