2012 800 Proclimb has a bad bog. Almost puts you over the handle bars if you are standing up. Anyone have any luck with by passing the TSS would like to try this first.

Thought about doing that myself, was told not too, it’s there for a reason . Could cause more issues

Bypassing the TSS is not advisable.
There are 2 switches in the TSS system that work in conjunction, one at the throttle body, the other at the flipper handle.
The switch at the throttle body seldom if ever gives trouble, the one at the flipper though can be problematic. Water, moisture has a way of getting into it, making it stick on occasion's being out at the handle bar. It is easily removed and cleaned, lubed with WD-40. Failing that the switch can easily be replaced with a new one. All Cat dealers generally carry this switch in their inventory stock and it takes about 20min for a tech to replace it or count on an hour if you do it your self.

TSS will only affect off idle situation. if its happening while riding I highly doubt its the TSS. if you have a teather just disconnect the TSS and ride, see if the issue goes away. do not bypass the TSS If you don't have a teather or its not hooked onto you. ive had my TSS disconnected since 2013 running an aftermarket throttle block

Are you getting an abnormal amount of pressure buildup in your gas tank? The tank vent on my 14 m8 failed and would bog bad while on the throttle once the pressure built up enough

What kinda miles on it? Seeing its a 2012 it likely miled up enough for a set of reeds. Check an make sure your oil pump is returning to idle position, on the linkage. Another thing that can help is relocating the air intake sensor closer to the throttle bodies. Might help ya.

If the throttle cable is to loose it causes the same issues. You really notice it more while standing as your pushing on a different angle on the throttle.

Ok guys. Just finished installing new reeds and have unhooked the tss and the sled still wants to die and stall when running at a slow speed. Even if you feather the throttle sometimes it comes back but more than enough it stalls. However it starts right back up. Any thoughts?

Do you think its a fuel delivery issue or electrical? You can check all your harness for rubbing or damage, check connections for corrosion and apply dielectric grease. You can by pass the key and kill switch to eliminate those, do one at a time and hook your TSS back up if its not the issue. The power valves should not cause this issue but its easy to check and adjust. You can try some Sea Foam in the fuel wont hurt, new plugs, ensure fresh fuel non ethanol, ensure intake and exhaust is not restricted, ohm your timing sensors. Check fuel pressure, check fuel tank vent, check fuel tank pick up and smart valve. Hopefully you can narrow this down to fuel or electrical. Good luck trouble shooting.

Bad fuel, or bad fuel pump, or closed/plugged smart valve.

Check the tube off the computer isn’t plugged or have a slug of water in it.

Definitely not the power valves

Watch your primary clutch, check the weights are free and not sticky/stuck. And if it’s happening after you’ve been moving, slow or stop and try to go again and it bogs, I’d suspect a possible secondary problem. It’d be like trying to take off from a stop sign in 3rd gear instead of first.

Allseasons, it does it as you are riding, if you are just going slow holding the throttle steady it will start big and then just cuts out. If you let off and feather it it will come back but if you just hold the throttle steady it will stall. I will check the things you have mentioned thanks

Just had the throttle block apart again and noticed a white wire that has been cut. Any idea as to where this should be? Or what it is for.

Probably goes the the Throttle Safety Switch.

If you have installed a tether and wear it you really don't need it.

you ever figure it out? I have a 2011 currently with the same problems your describing. It’s not the TSS or killswitch or tether.
