After about 150 miles on my ‘16 M8000 LTD I noticed the tab on the pipe that the spring connects the pipe to the silencer had broken off. My dealer warrantied the pipe and now after about 300 miles, I notice it’s broke again. Is this common? Why is it happening and is there a fix?

I've seen it a few times before. Not sure how common it is

It happens because when you pin your sled the exhaust pipe and muffler wants to move because of the force of the gases leaving your engine at 8000 rpm and the motor is also trying to twist its way out of the frame.

You could have a broken motor mount, but was probably just a bad weld.

I thought of that but never checked the mounts. I’ll have a look. Thanks!!
