Anyone know how to remove the fuel injectors on a 2015 M8000? Need to clean them...stuck closed and won't start...again...brought it to shop last time because I wasn't sure what was wrong but now I'm 99% where the issue is after sitting for the summer...

I have everything around them removed already and disconnected the wiring...looks like you just remove the pair of screws on either side of the fuel rail and then once you remove the rail the injectors should just slideout? Just wanted to double check before tryingand get fuel everywhere for nothing.

Thanks

You have fuel pressure and are getting signal at the injectors? Stuck injectors is possible but highly unlikely.

No...not starting at all...no blip of light on the gauges...not getting fuel...had the issue before...apparently it was on the bulletin the dealer had for a common issue...all it took last time was to pull them out and hook them to a battery to open them and then clean them out...good as new...just doesn’t like fuel sitting over the summer...I usually start it a couple of times over the summer to keep it from happening but I guess I left it a little longer than I should have....99% sure this is my problem...easy fix...hopefully...will know this weekend when I get time

If that is truly the case, highlighted in red. Your fuel injector's as components are not the problem. But the issue stems from the electrical system.
Your injectors are electrically operated and being your highlighted statements states no blip of light on the gauge. Is a given clue that the electrical system is not being activated.......check your switches. Especially throttle over rides on Cats.

I agree with lund. you should always see a flicker of life in the gauges/headlight when pulling over. if not that means your injectors aren't getting any power either. mine sits all summer, never touched and will start in a couple pulls each time. double check your tether and kill switch and go from there. the chances of both injectors sticking shut is very very low, even if one was stick it would still sputter and give signs of life

I agree with Lund, Check all the electrical over than I would put a little gas down the throttle bodys or down the spark plug holes and try it sometimes if your stator is week it will fire you engine up enough for it to run the electrical system and it will run, then you can start doing electrical tests.

Those key modules are pieces of **** too. If I remember correctly they are normally open and then closed is off, same as the kill switch I guess.

Anyways in summary, key module and kill switch are definately keys suspects.

Try unplugging the harness on your kill switch, then try to start it.

Then try unplugging the harness from the key module, then try to start it.

If this fails drink six beer and regroup.
