Team Secondary Balancing

I just brought my new '16 M8000 home and I'm new to the Team clutching. Made a rookie mistake and didn't mark the sheaves on the secondary before I pulled them apart. Is it as crucial to keep them aligned as it was on the old Cat secondaries?

On mine both shives have been drilled and balanced seperately from factory. But look at the groove *from* the deflection bolt and re-align that way. No big deal. It technically can't be balanced together anyhow, as the outside shiv is bolted solid, spacers, then then an *inner*second shiv that moves outward with rpm. The primary is more crucial, but even there, its tough. A clutch spinning in a balancer is going to be totally different than a primary under load. Which is why there are spacers washers guides and stronger covers to stop flex. Run it

Thanks allseasons. What groove am I looking for though? I'm not seeing any grooves. And are you saying to remove the deflection bolt and look through the hole? Also what is the DL stamped on the inner sheave? Is that where the deflection bolt should line up? Thanks for your help.

I did the exact same thing. You should be able to see where the deflection bolt made contact with inner shieve.

Yes as Mike said. That's how I should've worded it. Maybe on a brand new one there won't be a mark yet. Mine was scored quite a bit
