I ran the Bikeman pipe and Y pipe on my 16' M8. I thought it ran great but could only compare to stock. I've got the pipe set forsale if anyone is interested.

Has anyone tried the SSI kit. It's interesting that with there mods you don't have to run a fuel controller.

I bought mountain performer kit, boards and geared up. Didn't slap it all on at once, started with Y pipe and clutching, reeds got changed by dealer under warranty. Then head domes. With each add on I was needing more weight in clutches, telling me something was working. The low to mid was day and night. Way snappier, I don't know for sure, but I can't say I gained track speed because I don't watch my gauges. I went from 66 grams to 68 then 69.5 and was pulling strong. What people didn't tell me, and I somewhat learned on my own, what kit instructions don't tell you is as you put these items on, depending on your kit manufacturer, my peak hp rpm dropped. So I'm making peak hp at 8050 so I had to up grams to load motor. Now running 72grams. Jaws make peak at like 83-8400 I think. So whatever kit you buy, find that important piece of information out and match it to clutching. Sort of important lol. Plugs looked great, still rich on bottom Imho. For my last trip end of may I started running 50/50- 91/Av to be more than safe and just to give it a whirl. When I ride local, 3500ft or lower I have to run straight Av. Best part about a Cat, their Det sensor is top notch. DET code flashes if you need more octane.

So i installed an 2018 clutch, I sent pipe away for SSI pipe mod, it's coming back to me in mail now, added a 2.5 timing key and calling it a day with mods this season. With running 50/50, SSI assures me I won't burn her down and won't need a controller. I really want to oil delete, next year maybe.

I have the full SLP system and I found it much better over stock. I actually found the mid range the biggest improvement. power is instant and clean throughout the whole RPM range. also not loud and obnoxious, nice not having a headache after a day of riding. I have the pipe, y pipe, can, PCV fuel controller, MDS clutching with 911 cover.

Hey guys I’m a little late getting into this conversation but I recently ordered a Speed Werx Stage 2 kit for my 2016 M800, I ride mostly Revy, Golden & Sicamous, sometimes Fernie & Valemont. I went with the 6-9000 ft clutching from speed werx has anyone else got some time on their machines with this kit and could tell me if they also went with the same clutching? Really hoping it works good & pulls hard!

Thanks to any who respond!
Cheers!

Have you had a chance to try the stage 2 kit yet? Did you get the one with the replaceable stinger?

Hi, I’m not sure I know what you mean by the replaceable stinger? I did get the adjustable pipe for high & low elevation if that’s what your meaning. I haven’t had time get it installed yet, not until the 15th. I got the soft ware setup for the power commander fuel controller on my laptop and downloaded the fuel map for my machine & elevation etc.. It’s off of the Speed Werx web page & then I installed it on the PCM. I sure hope I did all that right as I was little unsure of it. The instructions were referring to a street motor cycle in the box for PCM. Apparently they’re all the same & similar from bikes to sleds & you just put your specific model & make / map onto it. Then I talked to a fella named Doug @ Speed Werx, & he told me I would have to re-calibrate the throttle sensor and have it hooked up to my lap top while doing so. It didn’t sound to crazy to do & they said to call if I had any other questions with the kit which is great, because it sounded like they want to make sure it’s setup for you properly. I’m hoping it’s not a bunch more technical than that otherwise it might have to have a professional touch to do the finishing instal lol. Anyways I’m super pumped for the kit still! Seen lots of pics & videos from out west & its looking unreal!

Thanks, HH
