I'm excited for the new engine. They have to be nervous though. Pretty big shoes to fill

You're the first I've heard say that!

X2, HUH really..first time for me too. In fact its the most desired track out there. Cat dealer here can't seem to stock enough selling them to both Polaris guys and Doo guys wanting the upgrade.

Not accurate what so ever, setup your rear skid properly maybe........ 3" powerclaw is a great track, very expensive though if your upgrading from a 2.6", way cheaper to go with camo x 3"

Lol if sleds developed at the rate the preseason rumor mill generates we'd be on 300lb sleds that make 250hp.

That forest fire was devastating for so many families, was a truly terrible thing and I hope that it turns out well for all who were affected.
Its obvious you suffered some severe smoke inhalation !! Good news though , Your thought processes should get back to normal with time.

Engine: I'd welcome a 900-1000 pp with open arms. But 800-900 works if it has a smooth delivery of power from 3000-8500 rpm. My ltd doesn't seem to wake up unless I'm over 7200+.
Chassis: I like it heavier. I like the strength. I hit an early season rock hard and I got bucked, barely scuffed paint. But they need to update boards, pitiful it hasn't been done
Im happy with track and clutching, the problem with a new motor is going to be clutching it.
I'm also on board for a belt drive, but over engineer it to hold up with the 3" please
Time for some new handle bars and controls, 10+ years with the current setup.
Gauges: I don't look down often because why? I'm pushing forward. But AC, can we please do something with the gauge, get a motor temp on there. They don't seem to want to warrantee cold seizes, but Christ, how the heck do we know what temp the motor is???

I like my 16ltd, but first impressions, I don't love it. Im only 120miles in and just starting to play with suspension setup, but I don't feel it rides much different than my built m1000. It rides just as heavy and is underpowered. My opinion obviously. So no, sorry wife, my 2016 wasn't my last Mtn sled purchase. I will be watching for 2018

Hold down on the two buttons on the left of the gauge for 10 or so seconds and then cycle through the options. Engine temp is #3 I think... Each time you shut down you have to go through this again but it's there.

looking at the cash you have into your sled I don't think that a few extra hundred dollar bills is a deal breaker. I think it works great, add horsepower...then it really works well!

Ya exactly lol, definitely not a deal breaker, when the 3" was done on mine it was at the time when getting a power claw 3" was tough because they were sold out, for the budget conscious the x3 is good but I am not the budget conscious lmao
