Any one else experience a noise coming from the clutch that sounds like a rattle spray can?? On a 16 with the team clutches

Do you have a link to that thread I can't find it? Mine seems to be doing the same thing.

I just got a 16 limited m8000. riding it around the yard for breakin, yes there is a noise. Right from brand new. Investigated to come to the conclusion it is the PRIMARY clutch making the noise.
This is similar to the Skidoo TRA famous whizzing sound but the new TEAM primary makes a noise that sounds like something is wrong.
I found a product display sheet online, it said the roller and weight are allowed to move side to side a little, so they dont wear into each other when the clutch is under stresses of operation.
The noise is when im in and out of the throttle lightly. once rolling or under more throttle it is perfectly quite.
I could hear the noise even when the secondary was not turning.
Inspected clutches, there are brand new and perfect.....
Man do they run sweet, its about time Cat addressed this area!
Sorry for the rant, maybe there will be a cure for the noise found? but until then ride er hard with a can!! LOL

Just ran my '16 M8000 Ltd for the first time this weekend - definitely noticed the same noise you're describing - kind of a chattering noise.
Checked out the primary this morning - everything looks fine - just run her I guess.

The noise you are talking about is a slight bit of free play on the weights. I don’t think it’s a concern.

My 14 HCR has had it since day one. On mine, it is slight gap, just a hair between the weights and rollers. Free play. Have tried Daltons, AC, MDS, they all have it, stuck with MDS.
