Hello I have a 09 M8 twisted turbo after unloading after last ride noticed about 1-2 inches of play at my handle bars upon inspection found that lower bearing of stem seems to be completely fubar Looks as if motor has to come out to repair. did a quick search on steering stem on this machine and there not supposed to be an issue as mine is the solid stem . Wondering if there is some adjustment method to adjust or tighten this lower bearing that I am missing really don't want to pull motor until end of season when I replace my bent bulk head when I also plan on aftermarket steering stem.

No bearing at the bottom of the post...just a heim joint where the post goes through the tunnel/bulkhead and then the bolt & washer underneath by the track.

Common problem with these Cats is the bottom post mount cracking at the tunnel/bulkhead area. Lots of threads on many forums dealing with this issue...I have had to repair two so far and a third I may or may not repair...might part out the old M1000.
